Oh noes! I has been tagged!

Unsuspecting Betty, chillin' on her roof

*grumble*

I was happily hiding on my roof, completely satisfied with reading all these random facts about strangers and quietly relieved that no one had tagged me when BLAM! Tigerlily (sweet thing) remembered I existed. *glares*

So, since I am a good sport, here it is. Eight random things about little ole' me. Clears the dust off the blog...haven't been here in a while!

Rules:
(1) Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
(2) People who are tagged need to write a post on their own blog (about their eight things) and post these rules.
(3) At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.(4) Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged, and to read your blog.

1. People tend to laugh when I get annoyed. Which makes them want to annoy me just so they can laugh. I just don't do angry very well.

2. This "anger deficiency" problem causes me to invent very imaginative swear words. Which makes people laugh more (ok, it makes me laugh too)

3. I cry at the stupidest things like movies nobody else finds sad (that's another thing people think is somehow hilarious) but I am very logical and level headed for the serious stuff.

4. I studied four languages in college and university. I don't know how to speak any of them (except English obviously). The rest turned into a sad version of Esperanto. Lesson learned? Don't study more than one language at once.

5. I used to help my boyfriend write video game reviews. I would play the games and tell him what I thought. Most of the games were crappy but getting free games was cool.

6. I once bought my boyfriend a Gamecube with Zelda for his birthday. He never got to play the game. It was a very good game *smirk*

7. I consider myself more of a dog person, but I have only had cats for the past 6 years. We only have one now. One went all "Littlest Hobo" on me one day, and the other one got squished when it ran after another cat.

8. Forums scare me. I rarely post, but I like to lurk. I have a fear of getting flamed over a silly misunderstanding. lol I tend to be shy when I don't know people (duh!) and I don't like conflict.

9. Bonus answer. I don't like chain letters!

Errr, I have no one to tag! Let's see. Who do I know that has a blog AND has not been tagged yet? Most of my SL friends are blogless! *digs through her list. Ding!* I tag Tami McCoy, Kala Wildcat , Marjorie Market and Miabella Foxley . That's four. I tag them twice. That makes eight! I'm done!

This image was totally stoled.

My skirt is possessed!

Errr... hello? Skirt? I'm over here!!!

I admit, scripts and I are not the best of friends. I have taken scripting classes, I have read a lot about it.. but it is a desperate cause. I, Betty Barracuda, am not made for scripting.

This being said, scripts, while being very frustrating at times, have also brought me much laughter. Tonight was a great example. I figured I would try to include some scripted prim skirts with the next release. It would be nice to be able to sit without looking half naked yes? I thought, how hard can it be? Put the scripted skirt on, set in the walking/sitting positions etc and I'm done. Easy peasy.

Not quite!

I do not know what I did but my skirt is now possessed. It litterally flies around like a car wash brush gone mad as soon as I start walking. Sitting is not much better, as it then just hovers there, way up in the air, snickering at me as I sit in my glitch pants...

Fun times! I am not too sure about my marketing ideas for this "feature" so I think I am going to have to work some more on that scripting thing.

Make a grand entrance by having your skirt precede you!

Great for washing those hard to reach windows!

Update: Ack! It is now worse... it doesn't even go back to normal after I stop walking. I broke it! :(

Oh! By the way! Last chance to get the free things from the ghost hunt and apple bobbing. They will be taken away at midnight SLT. So come get your free cardigan or plaid skirt or...who knows what's in there! :)

Betty's Halloween Adventures

Relaxing between ghost catches

So, last night was Halloween. I had no party to go to, and I was in the mood for some ghost hunting! So I put on my costume and I was ready for action! Move over Ghostbusters, here I come!

The evening didn't exactly start off too well... My first stop left me stripped and humiliated when my costume litterally got shoved up my ass after TPing...

Is that a costume up your butt or are you happy to see me?

A quick and swift TP back home (which had no walls??) to detach everything and put them back where they belonged and I was ready to go again. Yay!

My first (and last...) stop was Ohana Isle Market place. What a lovely sim! I had way too much fun exploring/shopping that I almost forgot about the ghosts I had come to hunt. They also have their own Halloween hunt going on with little candy corns hidden all over. I found a LOT of those!

Here are some pics of last night's adventure. It was nice to be out of my skybox for once!

chillin' in a little disco disney tent

Diabetes! Here I come!

Nothing like a little blood bath with a hairdryer in your hand to make you feel alive!

Note to self: Don't dumpster dive when wearing cardboard...

Sadly, my evening came to an abrupt end when the garbage truck showed up and picked me up while I was dumpster diving for freebs. All was not lost however. I did find a lot of goodies, a couple of ghosts and even rented a shop while I was there! Yay! It was just too cute a place to pass up!

Hope everyone had a fun Halloween and don't forget, the Ghost Hunt is running until Sunday! So go catch some ghosts and stop by the store for some apple bobbing for even more free stuff!

Halloween Ghost Hunt

Get your bag and start finding goodies!

The Grid Wide Halloween Hunt organized by Lucky Designs started earlier today and will last until Sunday November 4th. Yay!

I decided to jump in and join the fun, so I have a couple of ghosts hidden in the Total Betty Boutique main store on Son. I think they are pretty easy to find. My store isn't that big so hiding stuff is kinda hard. I also added an Apple Bob thingie so you can get some free stuff in there too!

Participating is pretty easy. Just make your way the the central hub to pick up your bag and then look at the big display board. It lists all the places taking part in the hunt. TP to one of them, find a ghost, click on it (while wearing the bag) and the prize goes straight into your goodie bag. Way cool!

Here is the slurl to get started

Happy Halloween everyone and happy hunting!

Still some costumes left to win! Weee!

Scared in Dixie!

Thanks to everyone who posted! Hope you like the costumes! Almost everyone should have gotten them already!

Because of some double posts and no name posts, there is still ONE robot costume to be won and ONE Chiquita costume. So don't pay attention to the number of comments and get posting to get a free costume! Yay! :)

On a side note, if you are in the mood for a little spooky adventure, go check out Mystic Brodsky's lake in Dixie Land Estates. The girl sure knows how to decorate for Halloween (or any holiday really!). This lake puts my little spider webs and jack-o-lanterns decorations to shame! lol Here's the slurl. Go see quick before Halloween's over and she packs it all up! DIXIE LAND ESTATES

New Costume! *Crafty Robot*

Made a couple of playful costumes for Halloween (or any other time, this is SL after all, we can dress up all the time!) They are available in either COPY or TRANS versions.

*****

First up is BEEP BOOP THE CRAFTY ROBOT, an old school, homemade cardboard robot adorned with aluminum foil, scotch tape and glitter stencils. A real beauty! Comes with dryer hose legs and arms, tissue box shoes and basic PJs to keep things PG under the box :D

This robot also comes equipped with a very menacing hair dryer that shoots rubber duckies at people. Hours of fun! (maybe I need to get out more? lol) and a freebie animation to make you spin into space (not litterally! just floating in circles...no orbiting involved!)

Hope you enjoy this costume as much as I did making it!

New costume! Chiquita!

Hair *Double Daisy* by Calla -- Skin by Lovey Darling

The second costume is called *Chiquita*

A fun, playful little costume loaded with fruit! Comes with banana leaf bikini and skirt, a lot of fruit (for your bewbs and waist), a fruit bowl hat, matching sandals and pineapple earrings.

You also get a tasty fruit punch that you can share with all your friends (the drink is copy/trans) and a little freebie dance for extra fun. Yay!

Available in either COPY or TRANSFER versions.

Halloween Freeb at Fashion Mode

Ashlin Leandros organized a little impromtue Halloween thingie for Wednesday night at Fashion Mode. Each store has a little display for gifts and/or discounted items!

I didn't have anything Halloweeny in my repertoire, so, I made something real quick. Now, since I usually don't like things with too much "holiday" stuff on it, I went with Halloween "colours" instead so the outfit doesn't become useless after the holiday has come and gone. However, I felt it was missing a little something and then I though... " OMG Pasties!" lol Yay!

*****
Introducing *Trick or Treat Me*

-1 nightie (top/bottom/prim skirt)
-matching panties AND pasties. Oulala!

Everything comes in all available layers. Copy/Mod. and all for a cool 1L$.
*****

At Fashion Mode, right now! Then at the Main Store and other locations until the 31st.

Enjoy!

New release! *College Bound* Mix and Match Fall Collection

I finally found some space for the new things! Yay! Not sure I am crazy about the layout of the store...but it will do for now. A redesign seems in order. And I seriously need to redesign my older posters. I cringe everytime I look at the hair/skin on them compared to the new ones. Not to mention the old layouts totally don't match! Yikes! Oh well.

"Ok, *snore!!!* Betty. We don't care about your store. On with the new stuff!" (sheesh, you guys are so rude...)

*****
Introducing *College Bound*, a versatile mix and match collection for the Fall. It has pants, jeans, capris, skirts, cardigans, shirts, combined shirts... lots of stuff!

Here is a small sample of the items available:

First, the little short coats! Wear them with or without the prims. Short or slightly longer. They are what started this little collection. Originally, I just wanted a coat but I ended up with a whole wardrobe and then some!

Next, we have the flexi "Patched Up" Skirts. The glitch pants have matching line designs so your leg doesn't scream "I'm here!!!!!!" when you walk and just quietly blends in with the prims instead.

And then zee tops. Lots of tops. The Western tops come in green, yellow and pink (very muted colours). The cardigans (orange, gold or green) by themselves, or combined over the shirts. They come in long and short versions/tucked/untucked etc.

There are also dark jeans (in black, dark blue or dark brown), pants (yeah, just pants) in green, rust and brown and capris (similar to the skirt but without all the lines) also in green, rust and brown.

*****

The collection is available in singles or packs so you can pick only what you want and mix and match your outfits without breaking the bank.

Everything comes in all layers available for even more flexibility. Yay!

*****
It's available at the Total Betty main store location on Son as well as my two new locations at Le Cadre (thanks to Sensual Casanova! yay! I knew sending in those naked pics would work! Kidding!) and Pompadour City (Yay Marjie!) right next to the sushi shop.

The collection is not on Onrez yet, but will be listed shortly. Everything is in the box, I just need to add the pictures, details etc. Oy!

That's it, that's all! (it's enough!)

Hope you like!

As always, feedback/comments/suggestions are always welcomed! :)

Err...space maybe?

I have been so busy packing and colouring, I forgot one small detail... I do not have space for the new stuff!

So, I took out my tools and decided it was time to expand my little store. I didn't want to move things upstairs, as I don't think people like going up and down floors to shop and I sorta like my little art gallery and changing room up there.

I am so running out of prims. Good thing I planned ahead and got myself an extra lot on the same sim or I would not be able to do anything! Looks like I might have to say goodbye to my little skybox eventually though. *sad sad* That or trim down my building even more. I already nuked my little office. Not that I ever used it but it looked cool! Oh well, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Right now, it's working out ok.

Other than that, a big chunk of my time this weekend was spent looking all over Callatropia for their treasure hunt! yay! Today is the last day for the 50% sale on selected hairstyles in store (and to get the mega gift bag at the entrance of the Calla store) Woo! Hurry before it ends! (you can also bob for apples. Don't worry about getting your hair wet. Chances are, you'll win brand new hair to replace it!)

I'm off to dunk my head some more in the green goo... Wish me luck!

Ta!

SL hates my clothes

Me: Wanna see my "what was I thinking pack?" lol I need pricing advice.
Evil friend: lol. Looks great! You should add a few more options for the skirt.
Me: Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Evil friend: lol!

It's official. SL hates my stuff so much, it won't let me release it.

Here is a little recap of the past few days...

I finish a couple of details while waiting for SL to let me change clothes. Fun! I upload the new textures. Yay! I apply them to the clothes. Woot! I take pics for the posters. So far so good! I make the posters. Weee! I upload the posters. Awesome! I apply them to my boxes. Cool! Now, the next step would be... put the clothes IN the boxes. Woohoo! *record screaching*

*the region...bla bla...bla bla...5 minutes*

Ok. No problem. I have to pee anyway. I wash my hands, wait a few more minutes before TPing back to my cave. Ready! Time to pack everything! And then...

*the region...bla bla...bla...* Again and again. *kicks computah*

That was yesterday. Tonight's bug du jour is my mini map turning red and me not noticing, which means I am working along, all oblivious-like, for absolutely nothing cause I'm not connected to the server anymore. *big buggy eyes* Argh!

The upside (?). I gave up packing and made more color options, thanks to my evil friend who put the idea in my head that it would be nice to have more options for the skirt. So now, there are more colour options for the skirt, shirt, coat, and cardigan. lol

Please please, let me pack this stuff so I can move on and stop adding stuff! Pleeeaseee!

This nervous breakdown was brought to you by: Total Betty, bringing fine quality clothing to SL women since 2006 (when it let's me)

*TILT!* Slight delay -- having technical issues

Just a short post to let you know I am having some issues uploading textures and creating clothing this weekend. Boo!

I wanted to add a few more versions to the cardigan (short, long, tucked shirt, untucked etc etc). I'm done everything but... I can't seem to be able to wear them! Ack! If it is not textures refusing to upload, it is textures showing when they're not supposed to be there, or not showing when they're supposed to be there. For all I know, I am walking around naked at the moment even though I look fully clothed on my end. Eep! I better hide from the fashion police until this is all sorted out...

So yes, there will be a slight delay with the release until I can put everything together in SL. The good news is that it gave me time to add a few things -- made a no belt version for the jeans, added another colour for the jeans as well, added another pair of pants, and made way too many variations of the cardigan and sweater combo (tucked, untucked, short, long, alone, together etc etc).

It also gave me time to buy some modeling poses and hair. I never release that much at once usually so...I was running out of poses for the posters (not that I have a lot to start with hehe)

Hopefully, this will all be fixed by the time I log back in later tonight. But for now, I am off to eat some turkey! yay! Thanksgiving here this weekend!

Ciao!

Sneak peek for this weekend's release

The highlight of the night for me was after the show!
A hunk in my bathrobe! Woo!

As promised, here are some pictures of the new designs that were featured as part of the Divine Intervention event. It was a very fun night! So many different styles and yet, the models did a great job of making it all work together. Thanks again to all of you! A special thank you to Miabella Foxley of Imagen Divine Agency for making this night happen. I wish I had more pictures to show you but my photography skills didn't rez last night...

I am still fiddling with the posters and packaging everything. I would like to get it all done by tomorrow *crosses fingers*(oh and I noticed a seam! Noooo! Need to fix that before it gets packaged!) It has been a loooong week.

After those are done, I will work on some other colour variations. Maybe not for all the designs, but a few!

Ok, enough with the late night rambling. On with the outfits!

Six new outfits total. Some are mixy matchy, like the College Bound set, some are stand alone and one is a revamped version of an old classic.

*Dainty* / *After Hour Diva*
*Dainty* / *After Hour Diva*

*College Bound* (mix n match singles/sets)
*College Bound* (mix and match singles/sets)

*Office Chic* / *Wrapped Up*
*Office Chic* / *Wrapped Up*

Of course, I cannot go without throwing something fun in the mix! After many requests for the retired SLRFL *Poodles* outfit, it is making a comeback. In brand new colours and patterns. Send your requests my way if you have any specific colours you would like to see! Those will be out later this week if all goes well.

The Return of the Poodle! Coming soon!

Time to get some sleep! I will post an announcement once everything is in the store.

Thanks for looking and have a nice weekend.

Divine Intervention tonight!

Less than one hour to go until the big event! Here is a sneak peak of the exclusive freebie I included in the Divine Intervention gift bag. This is one of the outfits featured. This colour will only be available at the event and will not be sold in the store! So come grab a copy and check out all the latest fashions at the same time! (see previous post for the complete line up)

I will post pictures of the new releases after the show! Lots of new stuff for the Fall!

I will post pictures of the new releases right after the event. Lots of new stuff for the Fall! Everything should be in store sometime tomorrow. Working on the posters as we speak (Oy! I'm overdosing on photoshop this week!)

Please note that the event has been moved to another sim for better performance! The old link will have a LM giver but just in case, here's the new slurl! La Isla Pacifica (122, 105, 23)

Hope to see you there!

Fashion Show -- October 5th!

October 5th from 5 to 8pm SLT

Oops! Forgot to mention that I will take part in Imagen Divine Agency's fashion show on October 5th from 5-8pm, on Live Elements (217/237/461)

The venue will showcase designs by Tuli Asturias, Shai Delacroix, Betty Doyle, Kara Eagle, Haedon Quine, Lux Yao and yours truly. Yay!

I am very excited about the project. Stressed but excited! It is such an honor to be amongst such talented and established designers.

I have been working hard on the designs. They say pressure builds diamonds. Let's hope it's true! (although I'd be happy to end up with some convincing looking cubic zirconias). hehe It's nice to get the creative streak going again.

Don't forget to vote on my little poll. It needs some luvin'. Tell me what type of designs you'd like to see more of!

That is all.

Back to PS I go :)

Get more cozy! *New colours added*

Mornin' all!

Added four more colours to the Cozy Plush sets following a few requests for darker shades.

The four new colours are:

Fuschia Fox
Azure Amazon
Emerald Empress
Tangerine Temptress (or Orange Old Bat as I like to call it...)

Also added packs for each colour sets (Pastels and Vibrant) as well as an Indecisive Pack which includes all eight of them (although, I am not sure anyone needs that many bathrobes but I liked the name of the pack hehe)

Note to self: Teal backgrounds...don't agree with resizing!

You can get them at Total Betty's Main store on Son!

Have a nice weekend!

PS: Congrats to the five lucky FashCon members who won themselves a Cozy set by being the first five to leave a comment on the blog! And thank you for the kind words everyone!

Because every gal deserves a break! *New stuff!*

Well Tigerlily, you wanted something new...here it is! haha. For now anyway ;)

Keeping up with the latest fashions can take its toll on every gal! Break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and pamper yourself! Wash that prim hair, get a facial, rest your tired ugly feet and let the stress just melt away in your comfy bathrobe.

Each COZY PLUSH set includes:

- 2 bathrobe tops (jacket-shirt layers)
- 1 bathrobe bottom on the skirt layer
- Bathrobe prim belt loops and prim sleeves.
- 2 nightie tops (undershirt-shirt layers)
- 2 nightie bottoms (underpants-pants layers)
- 1 nightie prim skirt
- Sculptie slippers (one for each foot!)
- 3 sculptie hair towels (with or without bangs) Warning - I am NO hair maker...
- Cucumber slices with facial strips (attaches to left ear)

Everything is COPY and MOD. NO TRANSFER.

Available in four girly colours at the main Total Betty store and on Onrez! (links top/right of blog). I also put them up at Fashion Mode and MO Island.

Pink Princess

Peach Pinup

Blue Belle

Green Goddess

Making this was a blast. It started with trying to make more sculpties... they sorta looked like a hair towel, so I just ran with it! As usual, it ballooned into a bunch of items but eh, I can't help it. Hope you enjoy this silly, fun release! My sketch book is full full full, so there will be more "serious" releases soon. I just need to find time. Anyone has some spare time they could give me? Pretty please?

Have a great week everyone! Hope you have as much fun wearing this as I had making it!

PS: Ewww! the pic quality is horrible! Just noticed I forgot to resize before uploading. I'll fix it tomorrow! I need to get some sleep :)
